The Carolina Hurricanes are big favorites tonight at -210 on the BET99 monyeline and I see no other outcome than the Canes winning at home against the Ottawa Senators. I'm keeping my betting strategy simple by backing big favorites like Carolina tonight, despite the Canes losing four of their last six games they've been massively unlucky carrying a 91.7% PDO rating in those six games. With such a low PDO rating their ship is bound to turn soon. Shayne Gostibehere has been a bright spot in the Canes' last six scoring eight points, OVER 0.5 points for Ghost-Bear is -130 at BET99.

As -210 favs tonight, books expect them to walk over the Sens, I can't disagree with that sentiment Carolina is 5-1SU at home this season when they're -200 favorites or more and hold that previously mentioned 7-3SU record against the Sens as well as winning their last four games against Ottawa.

Meanwhile, the Senators have a poor track record on the road when their odds are +170 or longer as they are tonight going 2-10SU since the 23-24 season. A recent 5-1 win over the Ducks surely looks good for Ottawa but we can't forget that the Ducks are terrible and have lost five straight, so I'm taking that decisive victory against Anaheim with a massive grain of salt and backing the favorites to come away with a win.

Carolina has seen the OVER six times in their last 10 games with an average of 7.3 goals, meanwhile, the Sens have seen the OVER five times in their last 10 (pushing twice) with an average of 5.9 goals. Tonight, the total goes OVER.

Martin Necas O1.5 Points: Martin Necas has always been strong against the Sens with eight points in seven games since 22-23, but much of that was before he exploded into the league leader for points we have today that's averaging 1.54 points per game.

Brady Tkachuk O0.5 Points (-160) at BET99

Per Outlier, Brady Tkachuk has at least a point in seven of his last nine road games, with a two-point night against the Ducks in his last game, I like the Sens captain to get a point tonight in what should be an offensive back-and-forth.

Despite only going OVER 0.5 points once in his last three games, Brady had previously gone on a tear with a point in six straight games averaging 1.5 points in that span. The Sens captain does most of his damage right in front of the keeper with an above-average number of goals, the 16th-most high-danger chances, and the fifth-most rebounds created. The Canes allow a slightly above-average number of high-danger chances with 41 on the year meaning Brady should have his say in proceedings creating at least one point.
