The Nickal vs Craig odds paint a very one-sided picture.
Elite prospect Bo Nickal is a -1200 favorite over veteran Paul Craig (+700 underdog) on the main card at UFC 309 on November 16.
Nickal has recorded three straight stoppages to begin his UFC career and will be gunning for yet another submission win in his toughest test to date against Craig.
I've got the Nickal vs Craig odds, a betting preview, and picks for this thrilling middleweight fight at UFC 309.
Bo Nickal vs Paul Craig Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Bo Nickal | -1200 |
Paul Craig | +700 |
Odds as of November 15
Per our odds calculator, a $100 bet on Nickal's -1200 odds (92.31% implied chance) pays out $108.33. The same $100 on Craig (12.5% implied chance) pays out $800.
How To Bet Nickal
Nickal is known as an elite wrestler/grappler, but I'll bet he busts out the striking for this showdown at UFC 309. Craig is quite big for middleweight, so Nickal won't be able to bully the Scotsman the way he did with his previous three UFC opponents.
Now Nickal will likely still get Craig down, but he won't be able to carve through him like butter. Craig is an excellent jiu-jitsu practitioner, a skillset that'll help him stave off Nickal's ground advances without panicking.
For those reasons, I'm much more enticed by a Nickal by KO prop than I am for him to win by submission. Ground-and-pound still counts in the KO department, so that's where my early leans are before the props market is released.
How To Bet Craig
My gut tells me Craig wins this fight by decision or submission; he's not blasting Nickal with his brutal striking. Truthfully, if you're interested in betting Craig, all you need to do is open your betting app and press ML at the current odds. Craig is a massive underdog, but a super, duper hail-mary play could be on Craig to win by submission.
Nickal vs Craig Picks
Ladies and gentlemen, we'll need more insight into the props market, but Nickal will win this fight inside the distance. I'm leaning toward a play on Nickal by KO, and for more value, I like Nickal to win in Round 2.
