The Oregon product has swiftly surged to the top after wasting no time putting up astonishing stats, tossing a league-high 2,469 passing yards and 14 touchdowns through nine weeks. Those stats put him on pace to potentially break the all-time CFL passing record in a single season, currently held by Doug Flutie at 6,619 yards (1991).
Interrupting his elite performance is a mild injury that is keeping him off the field, listed as week-to-week. But, once he's healthy it'll be back to relying on his arm, which has thrown 15 passes of 30-plus yards.

The signal-caller has established prime connections with fellow MOP contender, Alexander Hollins (706 YDS, 4 TDS) and Justin McInnis (780 YDS, 6 TDS).
With a possibility of winning the Grey Cup on home soil, there's a picture perfect storyline here for Adams Jr. and barring any further injuries, he could easily write the fairytale ending himself.

Last year, Montreal couldn't compete with the big boys, dropping all seven regular season meetings with BC, Winnipeg and Toronto. But once the division finals came around, the Als snapped into focus, taking down the Argos and Bombers to snatch the Grey Cup. But now, they are one of the big boys.
Initially out with a hamstring tweak as of Week 7, the 32-year-old's recovery time is now ahead of schedule, bringing his odds from +750 to +190.
But, he and his Als sit sturdy at the top of the league after accomplishing an undefeated record after the first month of the season. With back-up Davis Alexander holing down the fort in Fajardo's absence, it'll be enough for him to return at solid placement in the standings and make another playoff run.
Fajardo's efforts were snubbed of the award last year. But despite losing top offensive weapons, Austin Mack and William Stanback, Fajardo is proving that he can get the job done with any group behind him. He continues to build unstoppable connections within his receiving room, including but not limited to Tyson Philpot and Kaion Julien-Grant.

Just shy of surpassing the Hollins-McInnis tandem for most yardage (772 YDS), Philpot can become the first Canadian-born player in 14 years to lead the CFL in receiving yards. Already surpassing his former career-high of 532 yards, Philpot is showing he can take on the responsibility of being Montreal's go-to man.
