Stanley Cup Exact Matchup Odds

There's still plenty of postseason hockey to be decided. Let's break down the favorite exact matchup and a value pick.

The Favorite: Florida Panthers vs Dallas Stars (+240)

Credit is being given to the two squads who have handled some tough competitors through the opening couple of rounds.

The Panthers got rid of the Lightning in the Battle of Florida in five quick games. Despite being swept by the Bruins in the regular season, Florida is also on the verge of knocking them out, too.

The playoff intensity continues to grow and get better with the offense and defense rolling, scoring 15 goals and conceding just five since Game 2 of the second round.

Likewise, Dallas gets a round of applause for shutting down Vegas, the defending champions, and now Colorado, the league's top offense.

Honestly, all hail Jake Oettinger. The 25-year-old has pocketed a 2.02GAA and .923SV% throughout the playoffs. Stopping the depth of Colorado is a huge task and somehow Oettinger is accomplishing it.

Value Pick: Florida Panthers vs vancouver canucks (+950)

I already bragged about the Panthers. A perfect mixture of Barkov's skill and Tkachuk's grit will carry this group far. But, there's something about this Canucks bench.

The amount of adversity they've been thrown, having to rely on third-stringer Arturs Silovs to carry them through a good chunk of the postseason. Somehow the 23-year-old is keeping Vancouver in it, even against McJesus' Oilers. A modest 2.65GAA and .908SV% through five games in a playoff you never expected to play in? Way to step up to the plate, Arturs!

Like plenty of championship runs, there's always a good ol' storyline and the Canucks seem to be that team this year.
