My NHL same-game parlay tonight is focused on the clash between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals at MSG. A game the Rangers probably win, but Caps captain Alex Ovechkin wakes up.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Washington Capitals +1.5

In our expert picks today I took the Caps at +1.5 so I'm going to double down and take them here. Washington kept up with the Rangers in Game 1 with 2.3 xG to New York's 2.9. The Rangers overperformed while the Caps underperformed.

And the Caps' leading scorer (Ovechkin) was a complete non-factor with 0 shots on net. I know Ovie shows up tonight and the Caps should have a better showing than Game 1 suggests.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: Zibanejad Anytime Goal

Zib's had four shots on the net but couldn't get a single one to go in Game 1. With 18 goals in 44 games against the Caps, Mikachu has scored against Washington more often than any other team in the league.

Mika held 1.05 ixG/60 in Game 1, only Will Cuylle has more for the Rangers and didn't score. With Zibanejad's scoring talent no doubt he connects.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: Ovechkin O2.5 SOG

Getting zero shots on the net isn't something Ovie is used to. He averaged 3.4 per game this year and 4.65 per game in his career.

This year, Ovechkin has been held shot less only four times in 79 games (5%). He responded with an average of 4.67 shots in the following game. It's unlikely he will stay quiet again.
