Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Tyrese Haliburton OVER 18.5 Points

It's a rare same-game parlay in which we're avoiding the spread and moneyline altogether. The Game 5 result in which Indiana got blown out by 23 points on the road with Milwaukee missing Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard due to injury makes me weary, so it's strictly player props for tonight's action.

Tyrese Haliburton is more of a gunslinger on his home floor, averaging 21 points on 19 shot attempts through two games in Indiana as opposed to 12.3 points on 10.3 shot attempts across three outings at Fiserv Forum. His pass-first mentality as the Association's leading assist man impacts his willingness to take over as a scorer, evident by having only two games with at least 20 points and 10 assists (he had 25 all season) since March 8.

Having squandered a closeout opportunity once already, Haliburton needs to place more of an emphasis on putting the ball through the basket as opposed to constantly looking for his teammates. His assist numbers will still be there, but as we've seen already, some home cooking is just what the doctor ordered to nail this leg for points.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Bobby Portis UNDER 22.5 Points

When factoring in the superstar pieces Milwaukee was missing, Game 5 was one of those rare evenings where everything clicked across the board. Essentially everyone who suited up for the Bucks made a positive impact, including Bobby Portis who sought redemption after getting ejected from the festivities early in Game 4.

Portis notched his fourth double-double of the series with 29 points and 14 rebounds in just under 40 minutes of action. His 24 shot attempts were by far his most taken against the Pacers, and the first time the 29-year-old power forward scored at least 20 points in 10 total appearances versus Indiana in 2023-24.

Removing Game 4 from the equation since he got the boot seven minutes in, Portis averaged 15.3 points in the opening three games of this series, which is well below the 22.5-point player prop for Thursday. It's not impossible considering he did register back-to-back performances of 20 points or more twice this season, but the odds just aren't in his favor here.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Patrick Beverley UNDER 5.5 Assists

No one will ever confuse the tenacious Patrick Beverley for being a John Stockton-esque facilitator, but he certainly looked that way in Game 5 when tying his career high of 12 assists with just a pair of turnovers in 36 minutes.

It was the second time all season and the first since January that Beverley finished with double-digit dimes. Now this prop isn't demanding that of the veteran, because he just needs half of what he accumulated on Tuesday.

Beverley did end up with eight assists in Game 1, but didn't go above four in the following three. He totalled just five in the two games in Pacers territory, so let's ride with the UNDER here and consider Game 5 a mere flash in the pan.
