Expert Picks Matchday 7: Galaxy End Winless Home Record

For matchday 7 in the MLS, we've got three expert moneyline, totals or spread picks that you should consider tailing.

MLS Matchday 7 Expert Picks

Philadelphia Union vs Minnesota United
The Game: Philadelphia Union vs Minnesota United, Saturday, March 30, 2 PM ET

TeamMoneylineTotalSpread
Philadelphia Union-130O3.5 (+140)-0.5 (-130)
Minnesota United+285U3.5 (-175)+0.5 (-105)
Draw+300

Pick: O3.5 Goals (+140)

Phily and Minny are both good offensive teams so they're good for a few goals on any given day.

I get that Minnesota has a good defensive record with only four goals allowed in four games. But their xGA (8.2) is the second-highest in the West.

They should be conceding a lot more than they have. They've been lucky defensively. I bet that luck runs out against a Philly squad that's scored 1.1 goals above expected on the year.

This season, both teams have seen O3.5 goals hit twice so taking the OVER here isn't uncharted territory.

Nashville SC vs Columbus Crew
The Game: Nashville SC vs Columbus Crew, Saturday, March 30, 8:30 PM ET

TeamMoneylineTotalSpread
Nashville SC+205O2.5 (-115)+0.5 (-155)
Columbus Crew+120U2.5 (-105)-0.5 (+115)
Draw+250

Pick: Columbus ML (+120)

I'm not taking too much stock in Columbus's loss to Charlotte last week. Mainly because they were missing some key players that will be back in the squad tonight.  A result I saw coming, so hopefully you tailed me backing Charlotte at +185 on the moneyline then.

Having Pat Schulte and Aidan Morris for this match is a huge boost for the Crew. Morris already has a goal to his name and has put in a ridiculous 30 progressive passes on the year while Schulte has an excellent 80% save percentage.

The Music just isn't looking right this year, and last week's 5-0 thrashing at the hands of LAFC made that abundantly clear.

To me, the Crew get back on track with a win here.

LA Galaxy vs Seattle Sounders
The Game: LA Galaxy vs Seattle Sounders, Saturday, March 30, 10:30 PM ET

TeamMoneylineTotalSpread
LA Galaxy-105O2.5 (-140)-0.5 (-110)
Seattle Sounders+255U2.5 (+115)+0.5 (-125)
Draw+265

Pick: LA Galaxy ML (-110)

Look, the Sounders stink this year. That's obvious enough by just looking at their overall record. On the road, Seattle is 0-0-2 with a -2 goal differential and 1.4 goals conceded above expected. That means opposing teams don't need clear chances to get goals on the board against Seattle. Half chances will work just fine.

Perfect for an LA side that's got the second-best offensive record in the league with 12 goals. The Galaxy have yet to win at home this year. That's going to be fixed this weekend.

When I saw this matchup I was going to smash the spread for the Galaxy but the moneyline has better odds at -105.
