NBA Playoffs 2024 Same-Game Parlay: Cavaliers vs. Magic Game 6

The best-of-seven series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic could conclude on Friday night, and we've put together a same-game parlay for all of the action as Cleveland looks to move on to the second round to take on the Boston Celtics.

Here's a look at our SGP and why each leg/prop warrants your attention.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Donovan Mitchell UNDER 25.5 Points

Donovan Mitchell's numbers on the road as opposed to playing at home are drastically different in this series. The All-Star guard scored at least 23 points in each of the three games at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse but has yet to exceed 18 points in Orlando once while connecting on just 36.7 percent of his shots from the field.

The Cavaliers have lost both SU and ATS in their last four games in which Mitchell fails to score at least 20 points, and are 4-9-1 overall in 2023-24 against the spread when he's cold with his shot. Of the 14 instances in which he's fallen below the 20-point mark, 11 of them came on the road.

A player prop of 25.5 points clearly stems from his 28-point performance in Game 5 on Tuesday, but he only converted nine of his 23 shot attempts and just 1-of-7 from 3-point range, making it the third-straight game he shot below 40 percent.

Jarrett Allen may sit a second-straight game for Cleveland with a rib injury, and Mitchell did average 31.5 points across four games in which Allen didn't suit up during the regular season. He also shot better than 52 percent in three of those games, which is something we've only seen once so far in this series.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Franz Wagner OVER 6.5 rebounds

Like Mitchell, Franz Wagner is another example of a player who shines brightest when competing on his home floor, as he's averaged sensational numbers of 25 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in his own backyard through two outings. Those numbers drop to 16.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on the road at a 34.9 percent clip.

Orlando is tied for second this postseason with the Cavaliers and New York Knicks for rebounding at home at 47 per game, which is just half a board off the overall lead. Wagner is a huge contributor to that number, and a pleasant surprise considering he only averaged five against Cleveland during the season while grabbing four or fewer on two occasions.

Allen's anticipated absence is one less giant to battle with on the glass, and while Wagner only recorded five rebounds in Orlando's Game 5 loss when that was the case, as noted above, being at home should help his productivity flourish.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Paolo Banchero OVER 1.5 Made 3-Pointers

Slowly but surely, Paolo Banchero has shown enough improvement with his 3-point shot to justify extra defensive pressure on the perimeter. His 37.9 shooting percentage from deep is a full four percentage points higher than what he connected on across 80 games during the season, and well above his rookie rate of 29.8.

The Magic were 23-10 SU when Banchero made two or more, but are just 1-2 SU in this series. He's attempting the most 3-pointers on the roster against the Cavaliers at 5.8 per game, which helps the probability of him reaching the OVER of 1.5 makes on Friday, at least.

The All-Star forward also only reached this OVER once in four tries versus Cleveland during the season, but this game is obviously far more important than all of those matchups combined as Orlando faces the brink of elimination. Banchero is the Magic's heavy hitter on offense, and I like his chances of building off of his 4-of-7 shooting night from behind the arc in Game 5.
