Gennady Golovkin has been dominating the sport of boxing for more than a decade. Since his pro debut in May 2006, “GGG” has gone a near-perfect 39-0-1 with a ridiculous 34 KOs. Golovkin’s combination of precision punching, power and footwork has made him one of the best boxers of this generation.
Like many top-notch pro boxers, Golovkin started as one of the best amateurs in the world. He represented Kazakhstan in multiple international events including the 2004 Athens Olympics, in which he won a silver medal. Once turning pro, it only took Golovkin four years to claim his first major title and after more than 10 years in the sport, he holds basically every significant middleweight title on the planet.
