Jake Paul vs KSI Betting Odds

Jake Paul vs KSI Odds and Prediction

It appears the feud between YouTube sensations KSI and the Paul brothers, Logan and Jake, may not be over.

Logan Paul boxed twice with KSI – one amateur bout and one professional – fighting to a draw the first time and losing on the judges’ scorecards in the second. Meanwhile, Jake Paul fought KSI’s younger brother Deji and won after Deji’s corner threw in the towel on the undercard to Logan Paul vs KSI 1.

Jake was the co-main event in a recent boxing card when he took on AnEsonGib and finished him in the first round. He took no time to set his sights on his next target as he promptly called out KSI to avenge his brother’s loss.

Also wasting no time, online sportsbook Sportsbook has released odds on a potential bout between Jake Paul and KSI, with KSI being a slight -125 favorite and Paul coming back at -105.

Although this fight isn’t official, Matchroom Boxing, which has a broadcasting deal with DAZN, put on the Logan Paul vs KSI 2 match as well as the more recent Jake Paul vs AnEsonGib bout. The promoter, Eddie Hearn, is in the process of making the Antonio Brown vs Logan Paul fight, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jake Paul vs KSI as the co-main event.

If you are unsure how to bet or are new to betting on boxing, don’t worry, we at Odds Shark have a great article on how to bet on boxing to make you comfortable placing a wager on this or any other bout. If MMA is more up your alley, we also offer expert UFC fight analysis as well.

Jake Paul Boxing Analysis

Two fights and two stoppages is quite the early resume for this YouTube star. Paul’s first bout was an amateur boxing match and he stopped Deji in the fifth round with a barrage of punches that led to Deji’s corner throwing in the towel. The American then made his pro debut against AnEsonGib, dropping him three times in the first round en route to a TKO victory.

Paul, with his 19.7 million subscribers, is extremely effective with a stiff jab that he sticks to until he can find opportunities to land his more powerful hooks. He doesn’t get too excited when he lands a good shot, carefully plotting his way to victory. Defensively, he doesn’t have the best footwork, rather relying on his quick reflexes and bending at the waist to avoid punishment.

KSI Boxing Analysis

The British YouTuber of 21 million subscribers had his first boxing match against Joe Weller in 2018, earning a third-round TKO victory. He was then called out by Logan Paul, which drew huge attention leading to two bouts. KSI was dropped in the rematch but Paul hit him in the back of the head while he was on the canvas, which resulted in a two-point deduction that ultimately cost Paul the fight, as KSI went on to win via split decision.

KSI usually starts the fight by staying true to his jab but shortly after will abandon that attack as he throws wild hooks looking to damage his counterparts. He has good cardio that allows him to throw those loopy punches for the duration of the bout and when he lands, he definitely has some pop as he finished Weller and bloodied Paul. Defensively, the Brit is fairly good at reacting to a punch, taking big steps back to avoid any strikes, but he sometimes keeps his hands too high, leaving him vulnerable to body blows.

Jake Paul vs KSI Prediction

Although KSI has the edge in subscriber count, I think Paul has the edge in many facets of a boxing match. Employing his stiff jab over and over again is a great way to fight, Sportsbook opportunities for the American to land heavier punches behind the jab as well as score well with the judges. Paul should also be faster than KSI, allowing him to get out of danger when the Brit fires his wild hooks. KSI was dropped against Logan and was hit quite frequently and I expect the same to occur in this bout, so I like the slight underdog for this one.

Prediction: Jake Paul via T/KO
