LIV Golf returns this week for the 2024 LIV Golf Jeddah event. The tournament will welcome some of the best players in the world for the third straight year with competitors like Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton and Anthony Kim all making their debuts.
They will need to contend not only with the golf course but with Brooks Koepka who has exerted his dominance around Royal Greens Golf Club the last two seasons. A back-to-back winner, Koepka hopes to pull off the rare three-peat as major championship season lurks around the corner.
Koepka is second on the oddsboard at +1000 behind Rahm at +500 and alongside Johnson, who claimed LIV Golf Las Vegas. Joaquin Niemann To Win (+1100): He is probably the hottest player on LIV Golf at the moment. Talor Gooch To Win (+1200): The individual champion from 2023 has started his title defense in strong fashion having just notched a runner-up finish at LIV Golf Las Vegas. That has been a spot Gooch has found himself in in recent memory as he finished in the same position to Koepka at this event last season when he fell in a playoff in the season finale.
With desert and water hazards coming into play down the stretch, the golf course should allow some of the better drivers of the golf ball to separate themselves. Gooch checks this box as he ranks sixth in driving accuracy and ninth in total strokes gained over the last six months.
Sergio Garcia To Win (+2000): The former Masters champion could conceivably be a two-time winner on the LIV Golf circuit.
A loser in a four-hole playoff at LIV Golf Mayakoba, Garcia got his season off to a nice start in Mexico. This continued a run of strong play at international sites including Singapore in 2023. During that same season, Garcia finished inside the top three at LIV Golf Jeddah.
