Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 1: Dallas Mavericks ATS -2

There were a few stunning results across the first slate of postseason games, but perhaps none more surprising than the Mavericks trailing by as many as 29 points on the road as the 3.5-point favorites, including an 87-64 deficit heading into the fourth quarter against a Clippers squad missing a superstar.

Home teams are currently a perfect 11-0 SU in this year's playoffs, so Los Angeles just followed suit with the rest of the league with a dominant performance in its backyard. Now whether or not that luck and momentum will carry over to Game 2 is an entirely different story, because Dallas had a lot go wrong and the Clippers had a great deal go right in the opener.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving accounted for 64 of the team's 97 total points, with P.J. Washington being the only other Mavericks player to reach double-digit scoring with 11 in 37 minutes of action. The Clippers, meanwhile, had three players score 20 or more points and had five finish with at least 13.

Dallas' star-studded backcourt will continue to put up numbers, and surely someone outside of those two will have a better game than what was accomplished on Sunday. The depth is there, but now it becomes all about execution and standing ground, especially defensively.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 2: Kyrie Irving OVER 25.5 Points

Taking a player prop with Kyrie Irving was gold in Game 1 for our last same-game parlay in this series, as Irving reached the OVER on a 24.5-point total with a 31-point performance on 10-of-18 shooting from the field.

Tuesday's is slightly higher at 25.5 points, but still a reasonable mark for Irving to leap. Irving kicks it into another gear during the postseason and is the ideal prototypical No. 2 option next to Doncic, who deservedly generates a ton of interest from defenders because of his size and ball-handling.

Irving will receive more attention in Game 2, but he's still going to need to take a healthy amount of shots to keep Dallas competitive until someone else in the rotation outside of him and Doncic elevates their game to contribute something of value.

Same-Game Parlay Pick No. 3: Ivica Zubac To Record 12+ Rebounds

It was evident early in Game 1 that Dallas had zero answer for Ivica Zubac in the low post, as the 7-footer abused his size advantage over both Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II to end up with a playoff career-high of 20 points and 15 rebounds.

The Mavericks made moves to shore up their interior defense, but there's only so much that can be done to counteract Zubac's power around the basket. The only thing that can hinder his ability for clean looks and easy grabs on the glass is foul trouble, but Zubac only picked up two fouls in 33 minutes in Game 1.

Max Kleber saw 27 minutes off the bench for Dallas as a floor-stretching big who can knock down some perimeter shots, but he's a liability defensively and didn't even live up to his end of the bargain going 0-of-3 from deep. It's a high number, but as long as Zubac doesn't pick up any silly fouls, another monster double-double is in play here since the Mavericks don't have the personnel to deal with him.
