The dogs days of summer are upon us and football fans can sense the season inching closer day by day. With the football betting itch rearing its head once again, the NCAAF season win totals for several teams have hit the boards.
The highest listed win total belongs to Clemson with Sportsbook posting the number at 10.5 (-125/-105). The past four seasons have seen Clemson tally 11 or more wins on three occasions – including their 14-1 2015 season. Expectations are high in Clemson following the team making the College Football Championship Game last season while also returning Deshaun Watson, who finished third in Heisman voting last year.
Florida State, Oklahoma and Tennessee are the only other listed teams with a win total posted at the double-digit mark.
FSU has recorded double-digit victories in each of their past four seasons. Not only will the Seminoles have one of the best running backs in the country on the field on Saturdays – in Dalvin Cook - but they also play in the ACC, which means they should beat up on less-than-stellar competition.
Hopes are exceptionally high in Norman with the team returning a bulk of their offense that finished fourth in the nation in points per game and seventh in yards per game. Since Bob Stoops took the reins as head coach, the Sooners have reached double-digit victories 13 of a possible 16 times.
The most shocking team seeing a 10.0 win total is the Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols have not topped nine wins in a season since the 2007 season and has finished under .500 on five occasions since then. However, the team will be led by senior Joshua Dobbs who accounted for 2962 offensive yards and 26 touchdowns last season between passing and rushing.
