Inconsistent Auburn Plays Host to Unbeaten Aggies
The Auburn Tigers will be gunning for straight-up wins in consecutive games for the first time in almost a year, as they welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday night. The Tigers posted their first SU win of the season last weekend, crushing Arkansas State as 20.5-point chalk, while the Aggies are coming off a 67-0 demolition of FCS Prairie View A&M.
Auburn endured an inconsistent 7-6 SU campaign in 2015, going 3-10 against the spread. But the Tigers have started strong this season, putting a scare into Clemson in Week 1, covering as 8.5-point underdogs in a 19-13 loss, before last weekend's lopsided win over the Red Wolves.
Texas A&M also proved to be a betting disappointment a year ago, ending the season on a 1-7 ATS run, and are 1-3 SU and ATS in their past four on the road. The Aggies have also struggled to score points on the road, averaging just 14 points per game over their past four, and gave up a whopping 468 total yards in a 31-24 overtime victory over UCLA in Week 1.
However, the Aggies have enjoyed success in visits to Auburn, going 2-0 SU and ATS all-time, including a narrow 41-38 win as 23.5-point underdogs two years ago.
