Serena Williams is a huge betting favorite for Friday as she takes on Roberta Vinci in the semifinals of the 2015 US Open - and looks to keep her Grand Slam dream alive.
Williams, who swept the first three major tournaments of the season, is listed as a -2500 betting favorite at online sportsbook Sportsbook to win her semifinal matchup on Friday against Vinci, the +1200 underdog. The other US Open semifinal in the women's bracket then has Simona Halep sitting as the -350 favorite over Flavia Pennetta (+275).
The men's semifinals at the US Open will also take place on Friday, with top seed Novak Djokovic the -1000 favorite at Sportsbook to beat defending champion Marin Cilic (+500). Roger Federer is then the -350 favorite against Stan Wawrinka (+275) in the other semifinal.

At Sportsbook Williams is listed as the -125 favorite on the 2015 U.S. Open odds, after she got past Garbine Muguruza 6-4, 6-4 in the final at Wimbledon for her third major victory of the season. Williams also beat Maria Sharapova in the final at the Australian Open and Lucie Safarova in the final at the French Open.
Victoria Azarenka is second on the odds to win the women's draw at the 2015 U.S. Open at +800 at Sportsbook, followed by Simona Halep at +1000, while Sharapova had been listed at +1600 odds to win the tournament before she withdrew from the U.S. Open on Sunday citing a leg injury as the reason. Belinda Bencic is at +2000, with Caroline Wozniacki at +2200, and each of Muguruza, Petra Kvitova, and Madison Keys at +2500.
Over in the men's draw it's Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic who sits as the +110 favorite on the 2015 U.S. Open odds, followed by Andy Murray at +350, and Roger Federer at +400. Federer fell 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in the Wimbledon final to Djokovic earlier this season, and he hasn't managed to win the U.S. Open since 2008.
Feliciano Lopez and Andreas Seppi are then both listed at +500 on the odds to win the men's draw at the U.S. Open, with Stan Wawrinka at +1200, Kei Nishikori at +1600, Diego Sebastian Schwartzman at +2000, and Rafael Nadal trailing the leaders at +2200. Marin Cilic, the defending champion, is back at +5000 on the odds.
