The Light Heavyweight title battle between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans is one of the most anticipated UFC fights to date.
The two will get it on at UFC 145 on April 21, and oddsmakers don’t think it’s going to be very close.
Over the last year Jones has been having his way with former UFC Light Heavyweight champions. His fight against Evans is expected to be the biggest challenge of his career, yet oddsmakers at Sportsbook have Jones as a whopping -500 favorite. With an air of invincibility, the price on Jones is warranted.
Despite only losing one fight in his career a successful bet on Evans to win will pay +400 at Sportsbook. He will bring a whole new puzzle of skills for Jones to solve, but even with the big payoff betting against Jones is ill-advised.
Che Mills will have a steep hill to climb when he gets into the Octagon against one of the brightest up-and-coming young stars in the UFC. Mills is currently a +390 underdog at Sportsbook to beat Rory MacDonald, and should probably be worth a lot more.
Action on MacDonald on the UFC 145 fight card currently comes with a price of -490 at Sportsbook. That price looks like a bargain on MacDonald, who should be fighting opponents that are in the Top 10 of the division.
If you can find any prop action on this fight the first-round stoppage win bet on MacDonald looks like a great option.
Heavyweights Brendan Schaub and Ben Rothwell will also battle at UFC 145 to remain relevant in the division. Currently Sportsbook will pay +215 for a Rothwell upset, while Schaub comes with a price of -255. This fight could be the best opportunity for an upset line to pay off if Rothwell can find the chin of Schaub.
