Pay per view action returns this weekend at UFC 187 with two titles on the line. MMA betting lines are available at Sportsbook on all dozen fights and include lots of prop bet options.
UFC odds for the main event for the UFC Light Heavyweight title between Anthony Johnson and Daniel Cormier are closely handicapped with Cormier listed as the Sportsbook -135 favorite. Action on Johnson to win will pay +115, but this one is a tough fight to call a Sportsbook. We like the idea of hedging these two fighters for a bigger potential payday.
If one takes the Johnson wins in the first round at +650 (10 of his 19 wins have come in the first round) and Cormier winning via submission at +491 (Johnson has been beaten three times via rear-naked choke) it offers a good payday on the two most likely ways for each fighter to win.
The co-main event will feature a battle for the UFC Middleweight title between undefeated champion Chris Weidman and former UFC Heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort. This fight is heavily handicapped at Sportsbook in favor of Weidman, who is currently a -525 favorite.
Belfort has been a beast in his last three fights but has not fought in a year and a half and can no longer take approved TRT supplements. The UFC 187 version of Belfort will not be the same one we’ve seen over his last three fights, so for that reason opting for the Sportsbook +415 Belfort upset line is ill advised in this fight.
Donald Cerrone and John Makdessi will also meet at UFC 187. MMA odds on this fight have Cerrone handicapped as a heavy -550 favorite while the Makdessi upset will pay +425. One can get a -110 option on the fight not going the distance, but we really like the +129 payday on Cerrone winning inside the distance.
