The UFC Featherweight division will finally move on when Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar face off for the interim title at UFC 200. Dana White has said that the Sportsbook of Aldo vs Edgar II will get a title unification bout with Conor McGregor after he finally makes the excruciating cut down to 145.
Aldo and Edgar, arguably the top two true featherweights in the world, have met once before at UFC 156, a bout that saw ‘Scarface’ win by unanimous decision. Since that fight, Aldo is 3-1, with his 13-second loss to McGregor being his only blemish, while Edgar is a perfect 5-0.
With this fight having all the makings of a tightly contested battle, odds opened at a virtual pick’em with Aldo hitting the board at -125 and Edgar coming back at -105 at Sportsbook.
Aldo seems more motivated than he has been in a long time following his second career loss in 27 fights, while Edgar has been incredibly hungry for a title shot for some time. You should expect a phenomenal fight between two of the best in the world at UFC 200.
