NHL Same-Game Parlay Tonight April 26, 2024 Canucks vs Predators

Same-Game Parlay Tonight: Canucks vs Predators

My NHL same-game parlay tonight focuses on the duel between the Nashville Predators and Vancouver Canucks at Bridgestone Arena. A game that, I predict, won't go well for the Canucks.

You'll see my three-leg parlay below, but make sure to check out tonight's expert picks by Josie Costigan and myself. We've got a pick for each of the four games on the schedule tonight.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 1: Nashville ML

As I wrote in our expert picks, Nashville has this one. Without Thatcher Demko, the Canucks have to rely on Casey DeSmith who just isn't the same caliber of goalie. In his last five starts, he's averaged a 0.871SV% and 3.64GAA. Horrendous.

Three of those last five starts were on the road by the way. Tonight, he's, you guessed it, on the road against a Nashville team that's won six of their last eight home games with a +13 goal differential. The Preds score a lot at home and DeSmith is in no shape to stop them.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 2: O1.5 Period 1

The two meetings in this series haven't gone over 1.5 goals in period 1, yet. But look, both teams have seen the OVER his in their previous five games.

And look, over the season, Vancouver has seen the P1 OVER hit 61% while the Preds have done it 58%.

In this specific context (Van on the road and Preds at home), the OVERs are even more frequent. For Vancouver, we've seen it hit 69% of the time on the road and for Nashville, it's 62% when at home.

And remember, DeSmith is in net tonight. No doubt the first-period total goes OVER.

Same-Game Parlay Leg 3: Forsberg O1.5 Points

Forsberg has eight points in five games that's enough to see his points prop hit tonight. If the total is going to go OVER for the game and in period 1, you know that Forsberg is going to have a big part in that.

And he's playing big minutes for Nashville with just over 20 in Game 1 and 18:35 in Game 2. Forsberg is out there a lot. You don't score or put up points if you aren't on the ice right?!
