The Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Sox won just 73 and 71 games, respectively, last season, but after retooling their rosters over the winter they are expected to improve those records in 2015 according to the MLB win totals released this week by online sportsbook Sportsbook.
Boston, which went 71-91 in 2014 to finish in last place in the AL East standings, has a posted OVER/UNDER win total of 86.5 at Sportsbook for 2015. Chicago, coming off a 73-89 campaign in 2014 that saw them finish last in the NL Central, has a posted OVER/UNDER win total of 82.5.
The Red Sox signed free agent hitters Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez in the offseason to give their lineup a boost, while the Cubs spent big to bring in starting pitcher Jon Lester to bolster their rotation and hired Joe Maddon to be their new manager.
The Washington Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers have the highest OVER/UNDER win totals at Sportsbook at 92.5 with spring training just around the corner, while the Philadelphia Phillies have the lowest win total at just 68.5. Here's a look at the complete list at the sportsbook . . .
