WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn will put his gold on the line when he takes on undefeated Terence Crawford on June 9. Although Horn comes into the fight as the titleholder, the Aussie is a sizable +525 underdog with Crawford coming back at -850.
This bout was originally scheduled to take place on April 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas but that was postponed after Crawford suffered a hand injury in sparring.
Horn has gone from relative obscurity to one of the bigger names in the sport after his controversial victory to win the championship against Manny Pacquiao in July 2017. Since then, Horn has defended his gold once against Gary Corcoran when Corcoran’s corner threw in the towel. The former Olympian is now 18-0-1 with 12 knockouts in his professional career.
Crawford continues to move up in weight and hunt for titles, with the American previously holding multiple titles at lightweight and light welterweight. Crawford has yet to taste defeat in his pro career with a stellar record of 32-0 with 23 knockouts. Still just 30 years old, he has finished seven of his last nine opponents.
