He may or may not rule Westeros when Game of Thrones wraps up its final season next year but will Kit Harington save Gotham the next time Batman comes to the big screen?
According to Sportsbook, Harington is the +165 betting favorite to be the next Batman in any DC Comics movie (the next release will be Aquaman in December).
Harington’s representatives are previously quoted as saying there’s no truth to the rumors but it’s widely speculated that Ben Affleck will be replaced as the Caped Crusader.
Jon Hamm Has Expressed Interest
Known comic book geek Jon Hamm has expressed interest in playing the title role in the Batman films and he would be a pretty good fit. Hamm, who stars in the upcoming blockbuster Bad Times at the El Royale, has long emoted the traits of Bruce Wayne in his characters and comes in second on the list behind Harington at +200 odds.
Gosling Comes in at +350
Ryan Gosling appears on the list at +350 odds to be the next Batman but he’s had more success as a lover than a fighter in his film roles (La La Land, The Notebook, Crazy Stupid Love). I’d need better than +350 to bet on the Canadian supplanting Ben Affleck.
