The annual Six Nations Championship – aka the Guinness Six Nations, since we all know us ruggers love the occasional pint here and there – is underway with four exciting rounds in the bag. As we head into the final week of the competition, undefeated France is the sizeable betting favorite in the rugby Six Nations Championship odds.

Why Is France Favored In The Six Nations Odds?
France entered the tournament as the favorite in the Six Nations odds and flexed its muscles en route to a decisive 37-10 home triumph over woeful Italy. While it was a lopsided victory for Les Bleus, they did fail to cover the 34.5-point spread provided by Sportsbook.
France followed up that performance with a nail-biting victory over their biggest threat, Ireland. There were tense moments down the stretch but Les Bleus never trailed and while the Irish were down a pivotal player, Johnny Sexton, France proved they were too much to handle.
Next, we saw France hit the road for the first time as they more than doubled up Scotland 36-17 at BT Murrayfield. That victory has certainly put France in the driver’s seat to win its first Six Nations Championship in 12 years.
Now, at 4-0, Les Bleus just need to take care of business at home against England this weekend as 8-point favorites to win that coveted championship.
Six Nations Championship Odds - Value Pick
I wrote in the pre-tournament preview that England was unpredictable and sure enough, the English fell to Scotland 20-17 at BT Murrayfield in the Sportsbook week. My value pick was Ireland and it remains as such, though the confidence has certainly waned.
The Irish did fall on the road, narrowly, to France and were short-handed without the incredible Johnny Sexton. They had a week off to lick their wounds and then took their aggressions out on woeful Italy by a score of 57-6, covering the 42.5-point spread.
Ireland needs an English miracle to win the Six Nations. The Irish will need to win as 16.5-point favorites at home to Scotland and need England to pick up a road win at France -- highly unlikely.
