Copa América 2024 Expert Picks Today: Ecuador vs. Jamaica, Mexico vs. Venezuela

Group B is back in Copa América action on Wednesday June 26, as Ecuador look to bounce back against Jamaica, while Mexico aims to continue their hot start.

Let's dive into all the odds and our Copa América expert picks of the day.

Ecuador vs. Jamaica Copa América Odds

TeamMoneylineDrawTotalSpread
Ecuador-183+307Over 2.25 Goals (-106)-1 (-104)
Jamaica+620+307Under 2.25 Goals (-104)+1 (-104)

Odds as of June 26

Nick Holz's Pick: Ecuador -1 (-104)

An early Enner Valencia red card robbed fans of a proper match as 10-man Ecuador eventually fell to Venezuela.

Felix Sanchez's men will be buoyed by a strong defensive performance after they managed to nick and early goal and take the lead on Matchday 1. Their midfield talent, with the likes of Moises Caicedo, and Kendry Paez creatively breaking down defenses, is enough for me to back Ecuador to win this match by at least one goal.

Jamaica defended well for long stretches but lacked any cohesive attacking moves. Bet on Ecuador's attacking talent to pull through.

Michel Anderson's Pick: Jamaica O0.5 Goals (-104)

I know Jamaica has never scored at the Copa, but that's got end at some point, right? The Reggae Boyz created 0.5xG against Mexico and probably should have ended up on the scoresheet.Ecuador is a good side, but they concede goals with at least one goal against in each of their last five games. That includes conceding against some lower FIFA ranked opponents than Jamaica (53rd) like Bolivia (84th) and Honduras (78th). Jamaica gets their goal today.

Mexico vs. Venezuela Copa América Odds

TeamMoneylineDrawTotalSpread
Mexico+116+221Over 2.25 Goals (+108)-0.25 (-119)
Venezuela+294+221Under 2.25 Goals (-119)+0.25 (+110)

Odds as of June 26

Michel Anderson's Pick: UNDER 2.5 (-119)

Mexico had 61% of the ball and 45% of the shots on target (9) but could only put one past Jamaica. That's not exactly what you'd call confidence inducing attacking stats. I don't trust this Mexican side to do enough offensively to push the total above 2.5 goals. The same goes for Venezuela. Sure they scored twice against Ecuador for the win, but the Ecuadorians were down to 10 men for nearly three-quarters of the match!Neither side will want to concede ground to the other in the race for Group B winner status. It's going to be a tight defensive game with few opportunities.

Nick Holz's Pick: Venezuela Moneyline (+294)

Outside of Argentina, we've seen the true big dogs of the Copa struggle for form early in the tournament. Whether it's the narrow pitches, or simply a lack of form, the favorites have failed to impress and break down defenses.

The likes of Solomon Rondon and Jefferson Savarino can create real problems for an inexperienced Mexican backline. Jamaica very nearly scored a goal, and I like Venezuela to pull off the upset at nearly 3-to-1 odds. Underestimate La Vinotinto at your own peril.
