Women’s MMA has come a long way in a couple of years and this weekend UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will headline the UFC 170 betting card with the third defense of her title.
Also slated for the UFC 170 fight card is the Light Heavyweight debut of Daniel Cormier and a contender matchup in the Welterweight division.
Rousey is currently handicapped as the -440 favorite at Sportsbook on the UFC 170 odds, a number that has dropped dramatically from the initial -705 MMA odds offering. Sara McMann will bring an elite wrestling pedigree as the +350 underdog on those UFC 170 betting lines, but she will likely have to strike it out with the champion as the two should negate each other on the mat.

As usual the prop options at Sportsbook offer some better action on the champ. The -160 line that Rousey wins by submission or the -185 for Rousey wins inside the distance are just a couple more inexpensive ways to bet on the undefeated champ.
Current UFC 170 lines from Sportsbook:
Ernest Chavez
Yosdenis Cedeno
Rafaello Oliveira 320
Erik Koch -410
Zach Makovsky -180
Josh Sampo 140
Mike Pyle -200
Anthony Waldburger 160
Cody Gibson
Aljamain Sterling
Rafael Assuncao -220
Pedro Munhoz 180
Rory MacDonald -300
Demian Maia 230
Alexis Davis -160
Jessica Eye 130
Stephen Thompson -140
Robert Whittaker 110
Daniel Cormier -1125
Pat Cummins 650
Sara McMann 300
Ronda Rousey -400
On short notice Patrick Cummings will step in to face Daniel Cormier as a heavy +775 underdog on the UFC 170 odds. The current price on Cormier is a hefty -1200 at Sportsbook, but once again better options are available in the Sportsbook prop options. Cormier inside the distance at -135 or Cormier by decision at +130 are a couple of options that won’t break your bankroll.
Rory MacDonald will look to get back to his winning ways when he faces the dangerous Demian Maia. The Sportsbook will be very close to a title shot, but it’s MacDonald that gets the nod as the current UFC 170 odds -280 favorite at Sportsbook. If you think Maia can submit MacDonald action on him will pay +240 on the UFC 170 betting lines.
The outcome of this fight will depend on which Rory MacDonald decides to show up on Saturday night. Playing it safe has not gone well for MacDonald of late, and if he comes out playing the cautious game Maia will have his way with him for the upset victory.
