Young Coming Off 41-Point Performance vs Raptors

The Hawks picked up a big 127-100 win over the Toronto Raptors in their last outing on Saturday. Trae Young had 41 points and 11 assists to lead the Hawks while Onyeka Okongwu (17 points), Bogdan Bogdanovic (14 points), Kevin Huerter (14 points) and De’Andre Hunter (14 points) all scored in double digits.

Atlanta will need to turn up the heat down the stretch to get back into the playoff picture. The Hawks sit two games back of the Brooklyn Nets (32-30) for the eighth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with the Charlotte Hornets (30-33) right on their heels. Young, who had his fifth performance of 40-plus points on Saturday, will need to continue to be dominant if the Hawks are going to make a run.

Lou Williams (hip) is out for Tuesday’s matchup while John Collins (foot) is doubtful.

Celtics Suffer Disappointing Loss To Pacers

The Celtics had a rare defensive lapse on Sunday, falling 128-107 to the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers had four players score 20-plus points, including Oshae Brissett, who led all players with 27 points. Jayson Tatum topped the Celtics with 24 points while Jaylen Brown was close behind with 23.

Boston’s downfall in the contest was the three-pointer as the Celtics surrendered 17 treys to Indiana. Brissett accounted for six of those on his own, setting a career high. It was an uncharacteristic game for a Celtics team that is allowing just 103.9 points per game this season – the fourth-best mark in the NBA.

Hawks vs Celtics Pick & Insights

Hawks: Keys To Cover

With Collins doubtful for Tuesday’s game, a lot of the pressure will fall on Young to lead the charge again offensively. The point guard is averaging 27.8 points per game – the fifth-best mark in the league – and has scored 40 or more points three times over his last 10 outings. Another 40 points for Young will likely secure the win for the Hawks.

Celtics: Keys To Cover

Prior to Sunday’s loss, Boston had allowed just 98 points per game over its previous 10 contests, a stretch that included a 105-95 win over Atlanta on February 13. While Young scored 30 points in that game, the Celtics managed to limit the damage elsewhere. If they can tighten up defensively again, Boston should get back into the win column.
