NBA Rookie of the Year Betting Favorite: Zach Edey, Memphis Grizzlies

You can't teach size, and Zach Edey has it and then some standing 7-foot-4 and weighing over 300 pounds.

The Memphis Grizzlies will likely return to form following a devastating 2023-24 campaign in which a majority of the roster missed prolonged periods of time due to injury, and with Edey likely slotted in as the starting center out of the gate, he can make an impact early and often without being the focal point on offense. His slow and plodding nature may lead to his eventual downfall, but for now, it's easy to be optimistic about the possibilities of Edey thriving in a Grizzlies uniform as an imposing presence in the paint.

He did, however, suffer an ankle injury in his first action at the Las Vegas Summer League, but that's not believed to be significant enough to hinder him months down the road once the regular season gets underway.
