Celtics Edge Thunder To Win Seventh Straight
The Celtics rallied late to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 126-122 on Monday and keep their win streak alive. It was the usual suspects leading the way for Boston as Jayson Tatum (27 points, 10 rebounds) had a double-double while Jaylen Brown (26 points) and Marcus Smart (22 points) also scored 20-plus. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a game-high 37 for the Thunder.
Boston has taken its offense to the next level during its seven-game run, averaging a whopping 123.9 points per contest. Tatum, unsurprisingly, has been the main man for the Celtics as he’s scoring 33.6 points per game in November, while his mark of 31.9 this season ranks third in the NBA.
Hawks Top Giannis And The Bucks On The Road
The Hawks picked up a big win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday, earning a 121-106 victory on the road. De’Andre Hunter (24 points) and Trae Young (21 points) led the way for Atlanta in a well-rounded offensive performance as five players finished with 16 or more. Giannis Antetokounmpo (27 points) and MarJon Beauchamp (20 points) were Milwaukee’s top scorers.
After a hot start in October where he averaged 29 points per game, including a monster 42-point performance against the Bucks on October 29, Young has seen his production slip a bit so far in November, averaging 24.5 points per contest. Despite the slight slip, Young and Dejounte Murray have led Atlanta to a top-10 offense in the NBA at 115.6 points per game.
Celtics Player Prop: Tatum OVER 33 Points (+117)
The oddsmakers are predicting a big game from Tatum, who’s getting +117 to hit the OVER on 33 points. As noted, Tatum has been just a shade over that mark through eight games in November, but there’s a fair chance he hits it against a mediocre defensive team in Atlanta.
Hawks Player Prop: Young OVER 30 Points (+117)
Young has topped the 30-point mark just once in his last seven games – a 34-point performance against the New Orleans Pelicans on November 5. If the Hawks point guard can get hot and drop 30 on the Celtics, the payout is sweet.
Celtics: Keys To Win
The Celtics are the highest-scoring team in the NBA and have turned it up a notch during their current win streak, thanks largely to Tatum and Brown. The duo is combining for nearly 60 points per game in November – if they can keep up that pace, it’ll be hard for the Hawks to stop the streaking C’s.
Hawks: Keys To Win
Atlanta will have to fight fire with fire in this one and that means they’ll need some big performances from their stars. If anyone can win a game on his own, it’s Young. The point guard’s season high is 42 points but he’s topped 30 just four times in 13 outings. He’ll need to score at least 30 to give Atlanta a chance.
