Golden State Looks to Continue Strong Play at home vs. Brooklyn
The Golden State Warriors are 0-2 SU and ATS over their last two games against the Brooklyn Nets since going 8-0 SU in their previous eight games against them. The Warriors will try to get back into the win column against the Nets when they host Brooklyn this Saturday night.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
The Nets opened as 4-point road favorites in this matchup and have since been bet up slightly to 4.5-point favorites in San Francisco. The total in this one started at 243.5 before early action on the OVER bumped it up to 244.5 points. Brooklyn is 6-1 ATS over its last seven games against the Warriors and the UNDER is 6-1 in those seven games.
Brooklyn News & Notes
Brooklyn snapped a three-game losing streak on Wednesday with an uncharacteristically strong effort on defense, holding the Indiana Pacers to just 94 points in a 104-94 win as 1-point home underdogs. Before that win, the Nets had allowed 127.3 points per game over their previous seven games and were 1-4 SU and ATS over their previous five games. Kevin Durant did not play against Indiana and Kyrie Irving led the way on offense with 35 points and eight assists in the victory.
Durant missed each of Brooklyn’s last three games due to COVID-19 quarantine but is set to return against his former team on Saturday. In 18 games played this season, Durant leads the Nets’ big three in scoring with 29.5 points per game, slightly ahead of Irving’s 27.9 points per game and James Harden’s 23.3 per game.
Golden State News & Notes
Stephen Curry continued his sensational season with a 40-point effort against the Orlando Magic on Thursday night as he drained 10 three-pointers en route to a 111-105 win over the Magic. Curry has scored at least 32 points in all but one of the six games the team has played in February so far and is averaging 37.8 points and seven three-pointers per game over that stretch.
Golden State opened the season with an 0-2 SU and ATS skid that included an ugly 125-99 blowout loss to the Nets in Brooklyn on Sportsbook night. But since losing those first two games, the Warriors have fought their way into playoff contention with a 14-10 SU and 13-11 ATS record over their last 24 games. The Warriors continue to play at a high level despite Klay Thompson being out for the season and James Wiseman being out since January 30 with an injured wrist.
Betting Pick: OVER 244.5 points
The total is sky-high in this one, but it’s easy to understand why. With Durant back in the lineup and Curry shooting at the level he’s shooting at right now, both team’s putting up a ton of points feels inevitable.
