Nets vs Warriors Odds & Analysis

Sportsbook Odds

The Warriors opened as a 6.5-point favorite at home with the total set at 230.5 points. The UNDER is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings while Golden State owns a 7-3 record against Brooklyn over that span. Given the Warriors’ success against the Nets as well as the continued absence of Kevin Durant, the hosts seem like an easy pick for your Nets vs Warriors prediction.

Short-Handed Nets Continue To Struggle Without Durant

Brooklyn dropped its third straight game on Wednesday with a 124-118 loss to the Denver Nuggets as the short-handed Nets were missing Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving. Nikola Jokic scored 26 points and added 10 rebounds to lead to Nuggets while Cameron Thomas topped the Nets with 25 points in just 26 minutes off the bench.

The Nets have hit a rough patch coinciding with the loss of Durant, who went down with a knee injury on January 17. Brooklyn is now 3-7 in its last 10 games and 2-4 since losing Durant, who will be out for another two to four weeks.

Harden (hamstring) and Day’Ron Sharpe (illness) are probable.

Splash Brothers Lead Warriors To Fourth Straight Win

The Warriors won again on Thursday as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-115. Steph Curry led the team with 29 points while Klay Thompson dropped 23 points in just 27 minutes of work. Karl-Anthony Towns led all scorers with 31 points and added 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves.

Thompson has started to find his groove again after his two and a half year absence. His 23 points and 27 minutes on Thursday were season highs for the shooting guard, who has played eight games this season. The Warriors may just be unstoppable once Thompson ramps up closer to the playoffs.

Andre Iguodala (hip) and Draymond Green (back) are out while Nemanja Bjelica (back) is questionable.

Nets vs Warriors Pick & Insights

Nets: Keys to Cover

With Irving back in the lineup on the road and Harden likely to return, the Nets will be banking on big performances from their stars. Their last victory, a 117-102 win over San Antonio on January 21, took a 37-point, triple-double performance from Harden. They’ll likely need something similar if they’re going to take down the streaking Warriors.

Warriors: Keys to Cover

Curry and Thompson combined for 52 points in their last outing, looking like the Warriors of old once again. If the Splash Brothers can keep up the scoring, Golden State’s first-ranked defense (101.9 points per game) should do the rest of work and help the Warriors to another smooth victory.
