Nets Lose Big To Celtics In First Game Back

The Nets took a drubbing from the Boston Celtics on Thursday, losing 129-106 in their first game back from the All-Star break. Jayson Tatum scored 30 points to lead Boston while six other players finished in double digits. Meanwhile Seth Curry had a team-high 22 points for the Nets in the loss.

Brooklyn will be in tough heading into Saturday’s matchup as Durant (knee) and Simmons (conditioning) remain out. On a positive note, Kyrie Irving will be eligible to play and he should provide a big boost to the team’s offense.

Goran Dragic (conditioning) is probable for Saturday’s game.

Bucks Look To Finish Season Strong After Adding Ibaka

The Bucks dropped their final game before the All-Star break as they fell 123-120 to the Philadelphia 76ers on February 17. Joel Embiid led all scorers with 42 points and added 14 boards for a double-double while four other players scored in double digits for Philadelphia. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 32 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists to lead Milwaukee in all three categories.

Milwaukee sits fourth in the Eastern Conference and will look to finish the season strong after adding Serge Ibaka at the trade deadline. The big man will help fill the shoes of Brook Lopez, who has played just one game this year due to back issues.

George Hill (neck) and Grayson Allen (hip) are questionable.

Nets vs Bucks Pick & Insights

Nets: Keys to Cover

Irving will be expected to carry the bulk of the offensive load for the short-handed Nets who continue to play without Durant and Simmons. The Nets will also have to try to limit an explosive Bucks offense that is averaging 113.2 points per game (6th).

Bucks: Keys to Cover

Antetokounmpo ranks second in the NBA this season in scoring (29.4 points per game) and has been even better over his last 10 outings, averaging 33.4 points over that span. The Greek Freak should be poised for another 30-plus point performance to lead his team to victory over a depleted Brooklyn squad.
