Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Warriors opened as 6.5-point favorites at home with the total set at 216.5 points. The UNDER is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between the two teams. Golden State is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings at home while Denver is 1-4 ATS in its last five games.

Denver News & Notes

The Nuggets stopped a two-game skid in their last outing Sunday with a 103-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. Nikola Jokic led all scorers with 26 points and a whopping 22 rebounds for a double-double and his second straight game with at least 20 points and 20 boards.

The Serbian center is putting up MVP-like numbers again this season, averaging 25.9 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game. With Jamal Murray still out, Jokic hasn’t had as much help as he’d like, but he’s still got the Nuggets sitting in a good spot approaching the halfway mark of the season.

Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Bol Bol (health and safety protocols) are questionable for Tuesday while Monte Morris (knee) is probable.

Golden State News & Notes

The Warriors beat the Phoenix Suns 116-107 in their last outing on Christmas Day as Steph Curry dropped 33 points to launch Golden State into first place overall over their opponents.

It was Curry’s fourth straight outing with 30-plus points as the point guard has averaged 34.75 points per game over that span. His season scoring clip of 27.9 points per game is second only to Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets, who’s putting up 29.7 a night.

Golden State could get a few bodies back into the lineup on Tuesday as Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole (health and safety protocols) have been upgraded to probable along with Andre Iguodala (knee). Meanwhile, Draymond Green and Damion Lee (health and safety protocols) are out.

How Denver Will Cover

The Nuggets will likely need another monster performance from Jokic to keep this one close, let alone win  – Golden State is rolling and Denver hasn’t been stellar of late. But if anyone can win a game single-handedly, it’s the reigning MVP.

How Golden State Will Cover

The Warriors are the best team in the NBA and are likely getting their second- and third-best scorers back on Tuesday in Wiggins and Poole. Already sizable favorites in this matchup, Golden State should be a lock to cover the spread with their big three rolling once again.
