Nuggets Favored On Road Over Struggling Clippers
The Denver Nuggets (20-18 SU, 16-22 ATS) visit the Los Angeles Clippers (20-21, 18-23) at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday in their second meeting of the season. The Nuggets will look to win their third straight game while the Clippers are 1-4 in their last five outings.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
The Nuggets opened as 2.5-point favorites on the road with the total set at 218 points. The UNDER is 1-8-1 in the last 10 meetings between the two teams. Denver is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings while Los Angeles is 2-4 ATS in its last six contests. The Nuggets have owned the Clippers recently, winning each of the last six meetings in Los Angeles.
Denver News & Notes
Denver won its second straight game on Sunday with a 99-95 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, who dropped their fourth straight outing. Nikola Jokic scored 22 points and added 18 rebounds for a double-double while Austin Rivers dropped a season-high 22 points in the win.
It was another big-time performance from Jokic as the reigning MVP recorded his eighth straight game with at least a double-double. The center has scored fewer than 20 points just once in his last 15 appearances and ranks 10th in the NBA in points per game (25.8) and second in rebounds per game (14.2).
Will Barton (health and safety protocols) is out while Markus Howard (knee) is questionable.
Los Angeles News & Notes
The Clippers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 106-93 on Sunday to snap a three-game skid. Amir Coffey led Los Angeles with 21 points while six other players scored in double digits for the Clips.
Los Angeles has had a rough run of late as leading scorer Paul George remains out with an elbow injury. The club is just 4-9 in its last 13 games, averaging only 102.8 points per game – down from a season average of 105.2.
Luke Kennard and Justise Winslow (health and safety protocols) are questionable for Tuesday’s matchup.

How Denver Will Cover
The Nuggets have owned the Clippers in recent years, posting a 7-3 record over the last 10 meetings. With George out for Los Angeles, Denver also boasts the only superstar in the matchup in Jokic. If the star center can have another signature game, the Nuggets should be able to limit the Clippers’ stagnant offense and come away with the win.
How Los Angeles Will Cover
The Clippers will have to get offense from multiple sources, like they did on Sunday, if they’re going to cover the spread and potentially win on Tuesday. It’s unlikely that Coffey, who is averaging 5.8 points per game, will go off for 20-plus again, so veterans like Marcus Morris Sr. and Reggie Jackson will need to step up their game.
