Los Angeles Clippers vs. New Orleans Pelicans
The Game: Los Angeles Clippers vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 8 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Los Angeles Clippers | +7.5 (-110) | +265 | O 217 (-110) |
New Orleans Pelicans | -7.5 (-110) | -330 | U 217 (-110) |
Pick: New Orleans Pelicans ATS -7.5
The Los Angeles Clippers pulled off a convincing win on the road Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls without James Harden in the lineup, but going 2-0 on this back-to-back slate will still prove difficult.
Harden said following the 126-111 victory at the United Center that he was uncertain about his availability against the New Orleans Pelicans because of a left shoulder strain. It would mark just the second game he's missed since joining the Clippers.
Kawhi Leonard is still dealing with a tender back and could be monitored on no rest in a game that could get away from Los Angeles. The Pelicans just had their four-game winning streak ended on Wednesday, and they've previously beaten the Clippers twice this season by double digits.
Atlanta Hawks Vs. Utah Jazz
The Game: Atlanta Hawks vs. Utah Jazz, 9:30 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Atlanta Hawks | -2.5 (-110) | -138 | O 224 (-108) |
Utah Jazz | +2.5 (-110) | +118 | U 224 (-112) |
Pick: Atlanta Hawks ML
This game provides the most value on the moneyline of any taking place on Friday with easily the tightest odds, which is actually quite surprising.
The Utah Jazz appear to be actively tanking, with Lauri Markkanen (quad), Jordan Clarkson (quad), and Kris Dunn (rest) all set to sit against the visiting Atlanta Hawks. Utah has lost seven of its last eight, with the lone victory coming against the worst team in the NBA.
Atlanta will also miss a number of bodies, and now Bogan Bogdanovic (illness) and Jalen Johnson (ankle) are questionable. Regardless, the Jazz don't seem interested in winning many games to close out the season, making the Hawks a solid bet.
Orlando Magic Vs. Toronto Raptors
The Game: Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET
Team | Spread | Money | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Orlando Magic | -8 (-114) | -370 | O 217 (-110) |
Toronto Raptors | +8 (-106) | +295 | U 217 (-110) |
Pick: UNDER 217 Total Points
Offense across the league is slowly drying up over these final weeks, creating an anxiety-ridden OVER/UNDER environment for bettors.
A 217-point total was once a surefire win, but no so much any longer. The Orlando Magic have hit the UNDER in eight of their last games, and are barely breaking 100 points per game over their last five outings.
The Toronto Raptors simply don't have a ton to work with these days, and factoring in Orlando's fourth-ranked defense of 111.3 points allowed per 100 possessions, this proves to be yet another low-scoring affair.
