Wiggins Dunk Highlights Game 3 Win

While it was Kevon Looney who stepped up for the Warriors in Game 2, it was Andrew Wiggins who stole the spotlight in Game 3, scoring a playoff career-high 27 points punctuated by a posterizing dunk over Luka Doncic to help Golden State claim a 109-100 victory. Steph Curry was also great once again, recording a double-double with a team-high 31 points and 11 assists.

Golden State is now just one win from its first NBA Finals berth since 2019, when the Warriors completed a 4-0 sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in the conference final before ultimately falling to the Toronto Raptors.

Otto Porter Jr. (foot) is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup.

Mavericks Lose Again Despite 40 Points From Doncic

Dallas’ Game 3 loss was a microcosm of the series at large: Doncic scored a game-high 40 points but his team still came up short, while the Mavericks star got put on a poster in the process. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 26 and Jalen Brunson had 20, but the Mavericks got virtually no offense outside of that trio.

With his Mavericks down by 10 going into the fourth quarter, Doncic put up a fight in the final frame, scoring 21 points in a last-ditch effort to close the gap. A three-pointer from Dinwiddie with 1:15 on the clock drew Dallas within five, but that’s as close as the Mavs would get as their postseason lives likely slipped through their fingers.

Warriors vs Mavericks Pick & Insights

Warriors: Keys To Cover

The Warriors have had a consistent formula throughout the series and it’s been working: Curry leads the way offensively while one or two others step up with big games. Looney and Wiggins have both made big contributions in the series – who will it be in Game 4?

Mavericks: Keys To Cover

Doncic did everything humanly possible in Games 2 and 3 but the Mavericks still came up short so it’s hard to see how they’re going to solve the Warriors. Dallas got 86 of its 100 points from three players in Game 3, so the Mavs will probably need a lot more depth scoring if they’re going to stay alive.
