Cavs Continue to Cash on Home Court
The Cleveland Cavaliers finally showed signs of life in Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors and stepped up in a big way, hammering the Dubs 120-90 on their home court. Game 4 is set for Friday, where the Cavs opened as 2-point favorites.
The struggles of sharpshooting point guard Stephen Curry have been well documented throughout the series. Curry, the two-time reigning MVP, led the NBA in scoring at 30.4 points per game in the regular season but mustered up just 19 on 6-for-13 shooting.
“I have to play 100 times better. I didn’t play my game. I’m disappointed I didn’t help my team win,” Curry told reporters after his team’s Game 3 loss. Curry has 48 points in the first three games of the series, but he didn’t score less than 50 in three straight games all season.
Kevin Love, who missed Game 3 with a concussion, was not missed by the wine and gold. The Cavs looked great in the absence of the big man, recapturing their stellar presence from beyond the arc. At the time of writing, a decision had not yet been made on Love’s status for tonight.
The Cavs continue to cash tickets on their home floor. In Cleveland’s last seven contests at Quicken Loans Arena, they’re a perfect 7-0 ATS.
