As the NBA’s regular season ends on Wednesday, the book officially closes on one of the best players to ever grace the hardwood: Kobe Bryant.
Bryant announced in November that this season would be his last, which has led to a farewell tour that’s seen the Black Mamba get widely applauded by fans, announcers, coaches and his peers across the Association. The Los Angeles Lakers officially close out the year at STAPLES Center against the Utah Jazz.
Online books Sportsbook and Sportsbook are offering no shortage of prop options on Bryant’s swan song, including his overall minutes played, what his final bucket will be and even the possibility of him outscoring his age (37).
The Lakers dedicated the 2015-16 campaign to honouring Kobe, and head coach Byron Scott has not been shy about his intentions. Scott told reporters he has one message for his young players: “Get Kobe the ball.” Scott also stated the shooting guard will play more minutes in his career finale than any other game all season. Kobe’s season-high for minutes is 37.
Looking to witness the contest in person? You'll have to pony up, as the average ticket to the game is listed at over $2,100 and it’s going to cost over $800 just to get into the arena. In fact, the most expensive ticket is a whopping $29,200! If you REALLY want to be there, that's a steal...
