Milwaukee (48-28 SU, 37-39 ATS) is heating up as the playoffs approach, beating Philly and Brooklyn this week to move to 12-3 SU and 11-4 ATS in its last 15 games. Short Turnaround For Clippers After Blowing Big Lead Late Last Night In Chicago

Two days after rallying from a 25-point deficit to beat the Jazz, the Clippers blew a big lead of their own last night in Chicago. Los Angeles held a 16-point advantage in the third quarter and was up 11 with less than five minutes left in regulation before the Bulls stormed back to force overtime, then outscored the Clippers by five to win 135-130, dropping LA to 1-6 SU and ATS in its last seven.

Paul George was on the bench during overtime as the Clippers stuck to a minutes restriction in his second game back from an elbow injury that sidelined him for three months. Before you make your Clippers vs Bucks prediction for tonight, be sure to check on the playing status of George as LA may choose to sit him on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Clippers have been a solid bet without George in these situations recently, however, going 5-2 ATS in their last seven games on no days’ rest.

Coming Off Big Wins In Philly And Brooklyn, Bucks May Be Vulnerable For Letdown

The defending champions look like the team to beat once again in the East this year after a pair of statement wins this week on the road. Milwaukee is coming off tough wins in Philadelphia and Brooklyn, the latter a 120-119 overtime victory last night in which Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered the tying and go-ahead free throws in the dying seconds.

Antetokounmpo also forced overtime with a clutch three-pointer late in the fourth quarter en route to a 44-point effort in which he became Milwaukee’s all-time leading scorer, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Giannis’ heroics helped the Bucks survive the ejection of Khris Middleton, who was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul with five minutes remaining in regulation, although Middleton isn’t expected to receive any further discipline from the league.

The Bucks are now 12-3 SU and ATS in their last 15 games overall and have covered four straight at home, but they could be vulnerable in this spot following the two tough wins on the road. Milwaukee is 4-11 ATS in its last 15 games on zero days’ rest and may also decide to sit Antetokounmpo, Middleton or Jrue Holiday tonight. The Bucks are 34-9 SU when their big three are in the lineup, compared to just 14-19 SU when one or more of them are out.

Clippers vs Bucks Pick & Insights

Clippers: Keys To Cover

Even though the Clippers are virtually assured of an eighth-place finish in the West and a spot in the play-in tournament, LA should be motivated to turn things around as the postseason approaches. Milwaukee is still battling for the top seed in the East but may let down a bit following this week’s emotional wins.

Bucks: Keys To Cover

A Milwaukee victory looks like a safe Clippers vs Bucks prediction, and when the Bucks win games, they usually cover as well. Milwaukee has covered the spread in all but three of its last 18 victories. The Bucks also shouldn’t have much difficulty scoring against a Clippers defense that has been gashed for 120-plus in four of its last five outings.
