How Can You Bet on Memphis Right Now?
The Memphis Grizzlies have the league’s worst scoring offense, are 1-10 SU in their last 11 and 6-19 ATS in their last 25, and two of their top three scorers are dealing with injuries as they get prepared to play the Hornets in Charlotte tonight. The Grizz are a 6-point underdog with the total at 204.5 tonight at Spectrum Center.

It Looks Like a Good Night to Fade The Grizzlies
In the ultimate paradox, the grizzly bear, one of the world’s most feared predators, is depicted on the uniform of the mildest, meekest offense in the National Basketball Association. Memphis (which is not the normal climate for grizzlies, by the way) is scoring a league-worst 100.5 points per game this season and scored just 97.8 points per game in January.
Compounding matters, both Mike Conley and Triple J, Jaren Jackson Jr., are carrying injury designations today and will be game-time decisions for Memphis. Those two guys account for about 35 percent of the team’s total points output and if they’re not available … oh boy, it could get ugly.
Charlotte Has Won the Last Four Meetings by an Average of 24 Points
It’s going to be hard for this matchup to get any uglier than it has been over the last four games. Charlotte won by 11 when these teams met two weeks ago in Tennessee and that was their first meeting since Charlotte’s 61-point victory in the previous matchup. SIXTY-ONE!
The Hornets are 5-3 SU and ATS in their last eight and shot 53 percent from the floor in the last game against the league’s No. 1 scoring defense. With that said, Charlotte only scored 105.6 points per game in January, which was the sixth-worst in the NBA.
High Likelihood That This is a Terrible Game
Call it what it is – this is a matchup between two teams that really aren’t that fun to watch. It will be diehard fans of each team, family and friends, and gamblers who make up the viewing audience of this game tonight. And it’s going head-to-head with Celtics-Knicks, so the rest of the country won’t even be aware this is happening.
With that said, if I was forced to make a play on this game, I like the Hornets on the -6 spread and if you’re feeling risky, parlay it with the UNDER. Memphis is on just a horrible run and there’s no reason to believe that will change tonight with their best offensive players hobbled.
