Grizzlies vs Warriors Odds & Picks: Golden State A Heavy Favorite In Game 4
Coming off a blowout victory in Game 3, the Warriors (59-31 SU, 45-41-4) look to take a 3-1 stranglehold on their series with the Grizzlies (61-30, 57-33-1). Memphis has covered 12 of its last 16 games following a SU loss but could be without superstar Ja Morant.
Grizzlies vs Warriors Odds & Analysis
Sportsbook Odds
With Morant’s status for tonight still up in the air at the time of writing, oddsmakers had opened the Warriors as 9.5-point favorites — 2.5 points more than they were favored by in Game 3. Some of that adjustment could also be because of Golden State’s 30-point blowout victory, the third time in the Warriors’ last four home games that they’ve won by 16 points or more.

Grizzlies Have Shown This Season That They Aren’t A One-Man Team
Memphis head coach Taylor Jenkins told reporters Sunday that “there’s probably a really good chance” Morant won’t be able to play tonight after leaving Game 3 midway through the fourth quarter with a knee injury. Morant has averaged nearly 40 points per game so far in the series, setting an NBA record for the most points in the first three games of a Western Conference semifinal series.
If Morant isn’t able to play, Grizzlies fans can at least take solace in the fact that their team has shown an ability to win games without him in the lineup. Memphis is 20-5 SU this year when Morant hasn’t played, which is actually a better winning percentage than the team’s 41-25 mark when they’ve had him on the court.
Memphis could also get a boost from the return of Dillon Brooks, who was suspended for Game 3 after his flagrant foul led to Gary Payton Jr. breaking his elbow earlier in the series. Brooks is known as a defensive specialist, which is exactly what the Grizz need after getting lit up for 142 points on Saturday night.
Perimeter Shooters Poole, Curry And Thompson Look To Light It Up Again
While Morant might be sidelined for tonight, the player Memphis blames for his injury won’t be. The NBA announced Sunday that Jordan Poole wouldn’t be suspended for pulling on Morant’s knee in the fourth quarter, also ruling that the play would not be upgraded to a flagrant foul.
Poole has scored at least 20 points in every game of the series and his 79 points are the third-most by any player through the first three games. Poole, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 78 points in Game 3 as the Warriors recorded their second-highest scoring outing in franchise playoff history.
Thompson’s 21 points was a positive sign for the Warriors after the sharpshooter hit just 29 percent of his field-goal attempts in the first two games. Golden State shot a sizzling 63 percent from the field — including 53 percent from behind the arc — and also hit 19 of its 21 free throws en route to going OVER the total for the seventh time in the last nine games. It won’t be a surprise if the OVER is a popular Grizzlies vs Warriors prediction once again tonight.
Grizzlies vs Warriors Pick & Insights
Grizzlies: Keys To Cover
The Grizzlies are often at their best when the odds seem stacked against them, going 16-7-1 ATS in their last 24 as an underdog and 20-5 SU when Morant has been sidelined. Even if Morant does play tonight, he won’t be 100 percent, so the rest of the Grizzlies’ supporting cast will need to step up their game once again.
Warriors: Keys To Cover
If the Warriors shoot the ball as well as they did last game, a Golden State blowout victory should be a safe Grizzlies vs Warriors prediction. Golden State’s veteran cast also isn’t likely to take its foot off the gas with an opportunity to take a 3-1 series stranglehold.
