Wounded Grizzlies are Big Underdogs vs Raptors
The Memphis Grizzlies will potentially have to make do without two of their best players on Wednesday as they prepare to take on the Toronto Raptors north of the border. Sportsbooks opened the Grizz as 10-point underdogs with an OVER/UNDER of 195.5.
On Tuesday it was revealed that Memphis starting point guard Mike Conley, who signed the largest deal in NBA history in the offseason, suffered a transverse process fracture in his back earlier in the week. Conley is out six to eight weeks as a result.
Zach Randolph is listed as questionable for the tilt after missing the last three games due to personal reasons.
Raptors all-star guard Kyle Lowry went 6-for-6 from beyond the arc in Monday’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers – the most 3-pointers without a miss in franchise history. Lowry shot under 40 percent from the floor in five of the first seven games, but he’s hit at least 40 percent in nine of Toronto’s last 10.
The Raps took both meetings with the Grizzlies last season, and they’ve won five of six in the series.
