Memphis picked up a win in its last game, topping the Washington Wizards 115-95 on Saturday. Ja Morant dropped 34 points to lead all scorers, Desmond Bane added 19 points and Steven Adams had 10 points and 15 boards for a double-double.
Saturday marked Morant’s sixth straight game with at least 30 points as the newly selected all-star continued his tear in the new year. The point guard is averaging exactly 30 points over his last 10 games to go along with 7.4 assists and 6.7 rebounds. Morant’s dominance has helped the Grizzlies establish a top-five offense in the NBA (112 points per game) while quickly sneaking up on the second-place Golden State Warriors.
