Adebayo Turns Up The Heat Against Hawks

The Heat earned their third straight win on Sunday, topping the Atlanta Hawks 106-98. Bam Adebayo had a monster game with 32 points while Tyler Herro had the rare triple-double with 11 points, 11 boards and 10 assists. John Collins (23 points, 14 rebounds) and Trae Young (22 points, 14 assists) had big games for Atlanta but couldn’t drag the Hawks to a win.

Adebayo has played some of the best basketball of his career recently, scoring 38 against the Washington Wizards on Friday and following that up with 32 on Sunday. The Heat will need Adebayo to keep it up as Jimmy Butler, who has missed five straight games with a knee injury, has been ruled out for Wednesday’s matchup.

Celtics Blow Out Hornets For Fourth Straight Win

The Celtics cruised to their fourth consecutive victory on Monday as they whipped the Charlotte Hornets 140-105. Jayson Tatum scored 35 to lead Boston while Marcus Smart (22 points, 15 assists) and Malcolm Brogdon (21 points) also had strong nights for the C’s. Jalen McDaniels led Charlotte with 24.

After losing in the NBA Finals last year, Boston has come back with a vengeance, sitting first in the NBA and two games clear of the Milwaukee Bucks for top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics can thank their top-ranked offense for their success so far as they’re averaging 121.3 points per game and have six players scoring in double digits.

Even with Jaylen Brown missing their last game, the Celtics were still able to put up a whopping 140 points – a true testament to their elite offensive depth.

Heat: Keys To Victory

With Butler, the team’s leading scorer, ruled out for this one, the Heat will certainly need Adebayo to stay hot. The center has scored 30-plus in three of his last six games. Does he have another big performance up his sleeve? He’ll need to have one if the Heat are going to compete with the top team in the NBA.

Celtics: Keys To Victory

Even with Brown possibly out for Wednesday’s game, the Celtics have more than enough firepower to scorch the Heat. Brogdon has been strong off the bench, scoring 20-plus in two of his last five games and 13 or more in four of those contests. With Brogdon, Smart and others providing plenty of support for the always-consistent Tatum, Boston should be able to run up the score again vs Miami.
