Raptors-Bucks Continues to be a Great Source of UNDERs
The Toronto Raptors continue to be the biggest Jekyll and Hyde team of the 2017 playoffs, but Raps backers will be hoping the good version of Canada’s lone NBA club will show up on Monday for Game 5 of their first-round series with the Milwaukee Bucks. Sportsbooks opened the Bucks as 6-point underdogs with a total of 192.
Following a dismal Game 3 performance where the Dinos lost by 27 points, Toronto righted the ship in Game 4 thanks to 33 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals by all-star shooting guard DeMar DeRozan to even up the series at two. The biggest difference-maker for Milwaukee was the off-night for superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished 6-for-19 from the floor while turning it over seven times.
Besides DeRozan (12-for-22 from the field) and Jonas Valanciunas (5-for-5), the rest of the Raptors combined to shoot 30.2 percent in Game 4. Reserve guard Norman Powell was huge, connecting on all three of his 3-point attempts in a 12-point showing. If the Raptors are going to grab a stranglehold on the series, they’ll need a much better showing from the rest of the team. After all, this franchise is known for its hot-and-cold efforts in the postseason.
UNDERs continue to be the story when these squads face off. In the past six matchups between the Bucks and Raptors, the UNDER is 5-1.
