Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Bucks come into this matchup as 3.5-point favorites in Miami. The total was set at 213.5 points with the OVER going 4-1 in the last five meetings. Milwaukee is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings while Miami is 1-4 ATS over its last five outings.

Milwaukee News & Notes

The Bucks had a nine-game win streak snapped last Thursday in a 97-93 loss to the Toronto Raptors but responded with two straight wins, including a 112-104 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in their most recent outing on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped 27 points and 12 boards for a double-double while Khris Middleton (21 points) and Jrue Holiday (20 points) were also integral in the win.

No team has been hotter than Milwaukee over the past 10 games as the Bucks have finally found their stride after a disappointing start to the season. The Bucks have boosted their offense to eighth in the NBA, averaging 110.5 points per game thanks to another superb season from Antetokounmpo (27.6 points per game).

George Hill (knee) and Semi Ojeleye (calf) are questionable for Wednesday.

Miami News & Notes

The Heat dropped their second consecutive game Monday in a 105-90 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Tyler Herro led all scorers with 24 points while Jimmy Butler had just 10 points in 25 minutes in his first game since November 27. Butler reaggravated a tailbone injury after taking a hard fall in the first quarter and left the game midway through the third. He has been ruled out for Wednesday’s contest.

Miami is pretty banged up coming into this matchup. Along with Butler, Markieff Morris (neck) will miss his 16th consecutive game while Bam Adebayo (thumb) will be out four to six weeks after undergoing surgery.

How Milwaukee Will Cover

Milwaukee is arguably the hottest team in the NBA right now, just days removed from a nine-game win streak. This confident Bucks team led by one of the league’s top scorers in Antetokounmpo should be able to make easy work of a short-handed Heat squad.

How Miami Will Cover

Miami is in tough against the Bucks, especially now without two of its top players in Butler and Adebayo. If the Heat are going to cover the spread in this one, they’re likely going to need an excellent defensive showing as well as a ton of scoring from Herro and Kyle Lowry. It’s not impossible, but the odds are certainly stacked against them.
