Bucks Lose Big To Hornets

The Bucks were routed 138-109 by the Charlotte Hornets in their last game on Friday. Terry Rozier went off for 39 points to lead Charlotte while LaMelo Ball (24 points, 12 assists) and PJ Washington (23 points) scored 20-plus apiece. Bobby Portis led Milwaukee with 19 points while Giannis Antetokounmpo had a season-low nine points in 22 minutes.

It’s been a rough go for the Bucks of late as they’ve won just three of their last nine games. Up until Friday’s loss, Antetokounmpo had been on fire, leading the team in scoring in each of his previous eight appearances while averaging just over 39 points per game. But even with his incredible performances, Milwaukee won just four of those contests.

Streaky Knicks Win Fourth Straight vs Raptors

The Knicks picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday as they topped the Toronto Raptors 112-108. Julius Randle had 32 points and 11 rebounds for the double-double while Jalen Brunson scored 26 for New York. Fred VanVleet (28 points) and Gary Trent Jr. (27 points) led Toronto in the loss.

New York has been an incredibly streaky team since the start of December: The Knicks went on an eight-game winning streak from December 4-20, lost five straight from December 21-29 and have now won four straight again. Despite the ups and downs, Randle has been one constant, averaging a team-high 28.3 points per game since the start of December.

Bucks Player Prop: Antetokounmpo OVER 31.5 Points (-120)

Antetokounmpo had his worst game of the season on Friday with just nine points while shooting 2-for-7 from the field. The Bucks star will certainly be motivated to come out with a strong bounce-back performance and based on his work prior to Friday, there’s plenty of reason to believe he’ll clear the OVER.

Knicks Player Prop: Randle OVER 26.5 Points (-120)

Randle has been the main driver behind New York’s offense, leading the team in points in six of its last nine contests. The power forward has scored at least 28 points in seven of his last eight outings so there’s a very good chance he hits the OVER in Monday’s matchup.

Bucks: Keys To Win

Defense has been an issue for the Bucks of late as the team is allowing 119.3 points per game over its last nine contests. That comes as a bit of a surprise given that Milwaukee ranks as the ninth-best defense in the NBA, but it’s something they’ll have to improve on if they’re going to snap New York’s streak.

Knicks: Keys To Win

Unlike the Bucks, the Knicks have found success recently by zoning in defensively, averaging just 98.3 points against per game over their last four contests – a span that includes two games in which they held opponents to 88 points or less. If New York can lock it down defensively again, Randle and Brunson should provide enough offense to get the job done.
