Bucks Look To Snap Out Of Slump Vs Wizards
The Milwaukee Bucks (4-5 SU, 4-5 ATS) are just 1-4 SU and ATS over their last five games. The Bucks will try to make get back in the win column this Sunday night when they visit the Washington Wizards (6-3 SU, 6-3 ATS).
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
The Bucks have opened as 3-point road favorites in this Sunday evening matchup. The total has remained steady since Sportsbook at 215.5 points. The OVER is 5-0 in Washington’s last five home games against Milwaukee.
Milwaukee News & Notes
Milwaukee blew a 21-point lead in Friday’s 113-98 loss at home to the New York Knicks. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 25 points and Grayson Allen had 22 points in the loss while the rest of the team provided very little offensive support. The Bucks are clearly missing Khris Middleton (who is out with COVID-19) and Brook Lopez (who is out with a back injury). Middleton and Lopez have both been ruled out for Sunday’s game, and Allen is listed as questionable with a non-COVID related illness.
The Bucks’ last loss to the Wizards came back in January of 2019. Milwaukee is 8-0 SU and 5-3 ATS in its last eight games against the Wizards including a 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS record on the road in Washington.
Washington News & Notes
The Wizards had seven different players score at least 12 points in Washington’s 115-87 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. This was Washington’s first win in November as the team was off to an 0-2 SU and ATS start this month after recording an impressive 5-1 SU and ATS record in October that included four outright upsets.
Washington newcomers Montrezl Harrell (18 points per game), Spencer Dinwiddle (17.1 PPG) and Kyle Kuzma (14 PPG) have helped take some of the pressure on offense off of Bradley Beal (23.5 PPG). The team figures to be even better too when Rui Hachimura eventually returns from the excused leave of absence he has taken from the team for personal reasons. The Wizards will look to take advantage of their scoring depth again this Sunday against the depleted Bucks.
How Milwaukee Will Cover
Milwaukee’s one win in its last five games came in a 117-89 victory over the Detroit Pistons in which the Bucks got 16 points from Pat Connaughton and 16 points from Jordan Nwora to go along with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 28 points. To beat the Wizards, Antetokounmpo will need scoring help from his supporting cast.
How Washington Will Cover
As they showed last Friday night, the Wizards don’t need Bradley Beal to do all of the work on offense to win this season. Both the starters and the bench have been producing, and if that continues on Sunday the Wizards will have a great shot at an upset.
