Knicks Lose Third Straight vs Sixers

The Knicks suffered their third consecutive defeat as they fell 119-112 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day. Joel Embiid had 35 points while James Harden (29 points, 13 assists) had a double-double to lead the Sixers to the win. Julius Randle scored 35 points to top New York while RJ Barrett (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Jalen Brunson (23 points, 11 assists) both posted double-doubles.

Despite the three-game losing skid, the Knicks have actually had a strong month as they were on an eight-game winning streak just prior, led by Randle and Barrett, who are averaging 26.7 and 23.2 points per game, respectively, in December.

Doncic Leads Mavericks To Third Win In a Row

The Mavs defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 124-115 on Christmas to extend their win streak to three games. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 32 points and added nine assists and nine boards while Christian Wood (30 points) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (26 points) also had big nights. LeBron James scored 38 but didn’t have much help elsewhere in the loss.

Doncic has been on fire over the last few weeks, scoring 30-plus in 10 of his last 13 games, including a 50-point performance just before Christmas against the Houston Rockets. The Mavs star is averaging 32.8 points per game, second in the league to Embiid (33.1).

Mavericks Player Prop: Doncic OVER 30.5 Points (-125)

Doncic has been red-hot and there’s no reason to think he’ll slow down against the Knicks, who have struggled defensively during their three-game skid. With Doncic scoring nearly 32 points per game this month, he should hit the OVER on Tuesday.

Knicks: Keys To Victory

The Knicks certainly don’t have the star power of a Doncic in their lineup so the only way they’re going to compete is if they score by committee. Their top trio of Randle, Barrett and Brunson is combining for nearly 70 points per game – if they’re all on, they could beat the Mavericks.

Mavericks: Keys To Victory

The Mavericks have locked in defensively, allowing just 106.7 points per game during their win streak. If Doncic keeps doing his thing while the Mavs maintain their defensive intensity, they should keep the streak going vs New York.
