Knicks Offense Sputtering With Randle, Other Starters In A Slump
Julius Randle and the Knicks’ starting lineup are under fire after another ugly performance Wednesday. Randle scored just 11 points — seven of them coming with the game essentially out of reach — and was a minus-34 in New York’s 110-96 loss in Miami, while R.J. Barrett, Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier were a combined minus-93 in their time on the court.
New York trailed by as many as 30 points in the third quarter Wednesday before the bench fought back to make things more respectable. The Knicks still failed to crack the century mark in scoring, the third time in four outings and fourth in six that they have been limited to 96 points or less.
They’ll need to find a way to create more offense if they are going to be the winning Knicks vs Bucks prediction tonight.
Bucks Try To Take Better Care Of The Ball After Turnovers Cost Them Against Cavs
The Bucks are coming off several disappointing showings of their own, falling to 2-7 ATS in their last nine with a 115-99 loss Wednesday in Cleveland. Turnovers were Milwaukee’s undoing as the Cavs converted the Bucks’ 19 giveaways into 31 points.
“Live-ball turnovers is when transition defense is the toughest, and we made a lot of them,” coach Mike Budenholzer told the Associated Press.
Seven of those turnovers were committed by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored a team-high 26 points after missing the Bucks’ previous game due to knee soreness. Bobby Portis and Khris Middleton combined for 43 but Jrue Holiday missed seven of his nine attempts from the field.
Some of Milwaukee’s turnover issues Wednesday could have been due to the Bucks’ lack of depth at guard. Wesley Matthews missed the game due to a bruised left knee while Grayson Allen sat out a one-game suspension, but both are expected to be available tonight.

New York’s defense is good enough to keep the Knicks within single digits of any opponent, allowing 104.4 points per game to rank fifth in the NBA. New York’s slumping attack could also wake up against a Milwaukee defense that has given up at least 114 points in four of its last five.
Bucks: Keys To Cover
Most of Milwaukee’s recent struggles have come on the road, where the Bucks have lost four straight. Make sure to factor Milwaukee’s rest advantage when making your Knicks vs Bucks prediction as well. The Bucks are playing just their second game since Saturday while New York is playing its third game in four days and fourth in six.
