OKC Has Won Seven Games in A Row; Covered The Spread in Six
The Oklahoma City Thunder is one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now, having won seven in a row as they arrive in Boston this afternoon to play another team that is on top of its game. The Celtics have won eight of their last nine and open laying three points to the Thunder with the total at 226.5.
Thunder vs Celtics Game Center
A Perfect Appetizer for the Super Bowl
I don’t know about you guys but, for me, this is the perfect game to watch while pre-gaming for the Super Bowl tonight. Two of the NBA’s best teams over the last three weeks on one of the most iconic courts in the league.
Both teams are reasonably healthy entering this game with big man Aaron Baynes of the Celtics the only player that is officially listed as out. Baynes didn’t play in the first meeting of the season either, a game the Celtics won 101-95 as a one-point favorite back in October.
The offense is Coming Easy in 2019
Comparing the last ten games of these clubs, there are a lot of similarities. OKC has a 47.7 field goal percentage, good for No. 8 in the NBA during that stretch. Boston is right behind them at 47.4 percent.
OKC is leading the league in three-point shooting percentage in the last ten game segment at 44 percent. Boston is No. 7 at 38.9 percent. OKC has scored 122.7 points per game, Boston 114.6 points per game.
One noticeable trend among all these stats? The Thunder are just slightly better.
My Bet For This Game
I expect this to be a close one and I’m going to take the points and the Thunder on the spread. I think OKC has a better than fair chance to win this game straight up and even if they don’t, it should be a tight one.
